Perfectly slow cooked, crock pot Cranberry Apple Pork Ribs

 

Crock pot cooked, Country style boneless ribs slow cooked with a refreshing cranberry apple sauce.  This crock pot rib recipe serves tender country style boneless ribs that will really impress your family!

Crock Pot  Cranberry Apple Pork Ribs - Crock pot rib recipe ingredients:

Serves 6 to 8 - Crock pot cook time: 7 to 8 hours

  • 2 cups (8 oz.) cranberries
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, diced, (approx. 1 cup)
  • 1 tspn Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tspn cinnamon
  • 1/4 tspn mace or nutmeg
  • 3 - 4 pounds boneless country style ribs
  • 1 bag (16 ounces) frozen small white onions, or 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 to 2 tablespoons cold water, optional*

Crock Pot Preparation:

In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, brown sugar, water, syrup, and apple.  Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low.  Simmer for 5 minutes, then stir in mustard, cinnamon, and mace or nutmeg.

In the bottom of the crock pot, arrange onions.  Crock pot should be a 5 to 7 quart slow cooker. Place pork ribs on top of the onions in the crock pot.  Spoon the cranberry sauce evenly over all.

Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, until pork ribs are tender.

If a thicker sauce is desired, remove pork ribs from crock pot after cooking.  Pour juices from the crock pot into a saucepan and bring to a boil.  Simmer for 5 minutes to reduce.  In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 -2 tablespoons of water.  Stir into the sauce.  When sauce is thick, it is ready to be served with your perfectly crock pot cooked pork ribs!


Sweet and sour country style crock pot ribs

Easy crock pot ribs recipe includes garlic powder, sweet and sour sauce, and peppers for distinctive country style ribs.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds boneless country style ribs
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic power
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup sweet and sour sauce
  • 1 large sweet bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

Crock pot cooking preparation:

Place ribs in crock pot or slow cooker with onion powder, garlic powder and sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Crock and set crock pot to low for 6 to 8 hours.  Drain ribs and add remaining ingredients.  Cover crock pot and cook ribs an additional 2 hours.

 


Crock Pot Sweet and Sour Country Style Ribs #2

 

Delicious boneless country-style ribs with tangy sauce and peppers. Make a homemade sweet and sour sauce or use purchased sauce to make the preparation of this recipe even quicker.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds boneless country-style ribs

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic power

  • salt and pepper

  • .

  • Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons vinegar

  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, low salt

  • 1 large sweet bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

Preparation:

Place ribs in slow cooker; add onion powder, garlic powder, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours. Drain liquids. Combine sauce ingredients, or use about 1/2 cup of purchased sweet and sour sauce with the peppers; pour over pork. Cover crock pot and cook ribs 2 to 3 hours longer. Serves 6 to 8.
