What is a rib rub?
A dry rib rub is a dry
mixture of seasonings that
is then "rubbed" onto pork
ribs prior to cooking.
Rib rubs do not contain
sauces or marinades and are
used to both season the ribs
as well as tenderize.
A great rib rub that
promises to leave your ribs
tender and flavorful.
At least 12 hours prior to
cooking, apply this rib rub
to your
un-boiled pork ribs.
Wrap your "rib rubbed ribs"
in saran wrap and
refrigerate for at least 12
hours or overnight.
1 T. salt
1 T. black pepper
1 T. garlic powder
1 T. onion powder
1/2 T. white pepper.
1 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. paprika
1/4 T. cayenne pepper
(optional)
Mix all ingredients in a
bowl. "Rub" onto your
pork ribs and wrap in saran
wrap. Refrigerate for
at least 8-12 hours.
Remove from refrigerator
approximately 1 hour before
cooking ribs.
BBQ Dry Rib Rub #2
Country BBQ Rib Rub
2 tablespoons
paprika
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon kosher salt
Mix all ingredients in a
bowl and apply to ribs as a
dry rub.
BBQ or grill your pork
ribs...
